I was ushered downstairs to see my dad and to put on my veil. My dad and I have such a close relationship, and while I'm not your typical Daddy's girl, we have a bond that has kept our relationship strong through some tough times. My Dad is also adopted, and as I was growing up I always felt like he and I were somehow "soulmates". My brother is my parent's biological child, so while we were all pretty close-knit, my dad and I had that special connection.
I love him so much:)
Our wedding coordinator, JoAnn Moore of Mountains and Meadows Weddings, came down to say hello and I was so relieved to see her. She's been a close family friend for years, and was even my dance teacher growing up! She was wonderful during the planning process and I truly felt like everything was taken care of. She tells me that being a wedding planner in such a small town is so special, because all the girls she used to teach dancing, she now sees in wedding dresses all grown up!
Remember my gorgeous clutch I found online? It fit all of my necessities perfectly!
Time for one last touch-up!
I was super excited to put on my veil- a gift from my MIL. I had searched for a mantilla veil, and even considered the DIY route, but my MIL found this veil from Erica Koesler and it was perfect (after a few alterations!).
My MOH straightened it out, and we were good to go.
I love this picture... my friends are so beautiful!
And with that, Dad and I were ready for the walk.
The line-up started with Champ's grandfather and when I watched it back on video it was the sweetest thing- he looked so proud and took about 10 minutes to walk down the aisle, taking it all in.
We actually didn't have any flowers at the ceremony because we both felt like the backdrop was enough! Who needs flowers when you can see the snow falling outside?!
Champ had a moment with his dad before walking down the aisle.
His mom was glowing, and I think she kept him calm before the ceremony.
One of the moments our photographer missed was Champ walking down the aisle with his family. I really wanted a photographer at the front of the church as well as one at the back, which is basically the entire reason I hired a second shooter. Unfortunately, the only pictures from the front of the church were taken by our guests. I love the joy on Champ and his parent's faces in this photo.
My mom and brother walked down together and my mom looked absolutely beautiful!
We planned for the moms to light their respective candles, and later in the ceremony we would light the unity candle. I'm not sure if they planned it, but they held hands while walking to the candles and I knew that our mothers both supported our relationship 100%. 
Champ told me he was an excited mess before the wedding, but all I saw was a handsome dude:)
The bridesmaids walked down the aisle to "Bless the Broken Road" by Rascal Flatts. It was also our first dance, and I thought it would be a good way to tie it all together. Such pretty gals!
With everyone in place, it was my turn!
Just as the music ended, a siren went off. The Chapel is actually right next to the Vail Firehouse, and I think Ryan Sutter was trying to signal to me this was my last chance for him. Sorry Ryan, I do think you're cute but I'm taken (well, almost!).Previously:
